Youth Empowerment Network (YEN) - The LEKGOTLA Way!

  • 08:00 - 16:30
  • ZOOM Virtual Event

Registration

  • A member refers to a fully paid member of COMETSA Friends & Supporters Club NPO. They will be required to submit their membership number and/or produce their membership card at the registration desk.
  • A Non-Member is any member of the public who is not a member of COMETSA Friends & Supporters Club NPO, and is not accompanying a member as a guest to the event.
  • Pro-Bono Members are the volunteer Directors and Board Members of COMETSA Development Agencies, including the Management Committee Members of COMETSA Friends & Supporters Club NPO, and staff members of COMETSA companies
  • Similar to the guest speakers, facilitators at our events are very critical and highly valued by our members. They may not necessarily be members of COMETSA Friends & Supporters Club NPO. We either pay them for facilitating our events or allow them to attend the events for free. This category is created to help us in tracking the facilitators used for our various events. They are added to our database.
  • We regularly invite subject matter experts to deliver talks at our events. When that happens such guest speakers are allowed to attend the events without paying attendance fees. This is irrespective of whether they are being paid to speak or not. They are critical to the success of our events. The guest speakers are our important resources for future events and are therefore requested to register for the events on our portal. They are added to our database.
  • The external service providers are brought in to deliver services at our events. It is a common practice not to make them pay for the events as they add value to the events. We still require them to register on our portal and be added to our database. This category helps us in tracking the service providers hired to support our events.
  • It is our desire to have as many donors and funders as possible. Unlike sponsors, donors and funders are like our "family members". They donate to our courses and fund our activities, programmes, and projects because they believe in the work we do. They will never be made to pay for attending any of our events.
  • We would like to have many of our events sponsored. As a non-profit organization with such low and affordable membership fees, we can only succeed if we are able to attract many sponsors to our events. Of course we must deliver value to them. We have created this category to demonstrate that we value them. And we will never make a sponsor of a particular even to pay for it. But we certainly want their representatives to be added to the database of those who attended the events that they sponsored.
  • Every organization and event organizer wants their events to receive publicity. The first people to attract are the media representatives. It is our desire to receive publicity of our events. We will therefore not make any official media representative pay for attending our events as long as they there on duty to cover the event and give us publicity.
