  • Like the guest speakers, facilitators at our events are very critical and highly valued by our members. They may not necessarily be members of COMETSA Friends & Supporters Club NPO. We either pay them for facilitating our events or allow them to attend the events for free. This category is created to help us in tracking the facilitators used for our various events. They are added to our database.
  • We regularly invite subject matter experts to deliver talks at our events. When that happens such guest, speakers can attend the events without paying attendance fees. This is irrespective of whether they are being paid to speak or not. They are critical to the success of our events. The guest speakers are our important resources for future events and are therefore requested to register for the events on our portal. They are added to our database.
  • A member refers to a fully paid up member of COMETSA Friends & Supporters Club NPO. Such a member is expected to be able to produce membership number and/or card at the registration of the events they are attending.
  • A non-member is any member of the public who has not taken up and fully paid membership fee with COMETSA Friends & Supporters Club NPO, or any member whose membership is not up to date about payment of fees. If a non-member is not accompanying a member to the event as an invited guest s/he will be liable to pay a non-member fee for that even.
  • The Pro-Bono Members are volunteer Directors and Board Members of COMETSA Development Agencies, including COMETSA Friends & Supporters Club NPO, and staff members of COMETSA companies and organizations.

THE METHODOLOGY: The African Methodology for creating the environment favourable to active thinking, dialogue, engagement, learning, development and resolving conflicts.

BACKGROUND: The LEKGOTLA Way, our HERITAGE! We marked the COMETSA 20th Anniversary Celebrations in 2017 with the launch of the monthly COMETSA PMS LEKGOTLA Networks. These take a form of presentations, dialogues, conversations, and questions and answers format facilitated by COMETSA Methodologists, Experts, Associates and Partners.

RATIONALE: In this fast changing world, it is impossible to remain at the required level of knowledge, expertise, and information without formal and informal continuous professional development. As a human capital, management and leadership development and consulting company we saw a need develop, coordinate and host such networks. Initially these networks were hosted live in the Gauteng Province, South Africa. We are now holding them virtually via Zoom. We are waiting anxiously to bring back face to face sessions, in combination with the virtual sessions, and take them to the other provinces of South Africa in the form of tours, and to the rest of the African continent and the world.

FACILITATORS: We are in need of Facilitators, Champions, Consultants and Volunteers who would like to undergo our monthly training and be qualified in the COMETSA PMS LEKGOTLA Facilitation Methodology. On completion the participants will be signed off as being competent. If they take the membership of COMETSA Friends & Supporters Club NPO they will also be given the opportunity to become the Business Associates of COMETSA GoC International (Pty) Ltd. That will give them the opportunity to work with COMETSA on projects that require the LEKGOTLA Facilitation Methodology.
